Deputy Chair of the Board of Directors
Tomaž Butina graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in Ljubljana.
Until 1990, he worked on the development of computer-controlled machines. In 1991, he co-founded the company PM&A, where he served as director and stockbroker. He is the originator of the idea behind the first Slovenian mutual fund, later named Galileo, which was established at the end of 1991. From 1996 to 2000, he headed the real estate company Fistro d.o.o., which, among other projects, built a development of 55 residential houses in Ljubljana known as "Karlovško predmestje". As a consultant, he worked with the Ljubljana Entrepreneurship Centre on the Guarantee Fund project.
He has served as a member or chairman of the supervisory board of Final d.d., Jata d.d., Gradis IPGI d.d., KD ID d.d., KD d.d., KD Življenje d.d., KD Skladi d.o.o. and Adriatic Slovenica d.d., and as a member of the board of directors of KD Banka d.d.
He is Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of KD Group d.d. and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of KD d. d., as well as director of the companies Avra and Dermatologija Bartenjev - Rogl. In the field of humanitarian work, he is active as a member of Ljubljana's oldest Lions Club.
