Katarina Valentinčič Istenič holds a master's degree in economics. She began her professional career in tax advisory and heading the accounting and controlling department. Throughout her career, she has held senior positions, primarily in the fields of finance, controlling and accounting. Before joining the Board of Directors of KD Group d.d., she was a member of the management of Onisac d.o.o., responsible for carrying out its financial and organisational restructuring and business process optimisation. Prior to that, from 2007 she was employed as Director of Finance and Accounting within a group of companies, where she gained significant experience in business and asset valuation, due diligence, and the organisation of business processes for companies in Slovenia and the wider region. She has been a member of the Boards of Directors of KD Group d.d. and KD d.d. since 2014. Katarina Valentinčič Istenič was appointed Executive Director of KD Group d.d. effective 1 January 2026, for a four-year term of office.
