Deputy Chief Executive Officer
Since 2003, he has been employed as an adviser to the management of the KD Group, and since November 2011 also as an adviser to the board of Adriatic Slovenica. In 2013, he was a member of the management board of KD Življenje; following the merger of KD Življenje’s insurance operations with Adriatic Slovenica, he returned to his role as an adviser to the management board of Adriatic Slovenica, where, from 1 1 January 2016 he has also held the key role of compliance officer. On 17 April 2019, he assumed the role of a member of the Board of Directors of KD Group, and on 1 September 2019, he assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer of KD Group. He was reappointed as a member of the Board of Directors and as Chief Executive Director on 19 November 2025 for a four-year term of office.
He holds a Master of Science degree; he graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Ljubljana in 1991 and obtained a Master’s degree in Management and Organisation (specialising in finance) in 2000, also from the Faculty of Economics in Ljubljana. In 1992, he joined the Ministry of Finance as secretary to the then Securities and Stock Exchange Commission, and when the Securities Market Agency was established in 1994, he became head of the licensing department. He held various positions at the Agency until 2003; most recently, from November 1999, he served as deputy director and head of the securities market sector. He has been a member of several supervisory boards (Gorenje, companies abroad) and is a member of the supervisory board of Deželna banka Slovenije.
